A résumé that's still active
Zane came up through Lindbergh High School and St. Louis Community College, then finished at Cameron University — where he led the country in batting average and RBIs. He's a two-time Conference Gold Glove winner with a career .343 average, and in spring 2026 he signed to play professionally with an independent club in California.
At M4P he teaches hitting, fielding and performance, and he's an assistant coach for Southside HS — so the athletes he trains in the cage are being held to the same standard he plays to.
Families on Google put it simply: swings improving fast, kids who love the work, and coaching that's knowledgeable without being complicated.
How Zane develops a player
Elite defense and a disciplined, powerful swing come from the same place: footwork, positions you can hold, and reps measured honestly.
Defense from the ground up
The Gold Glove standard: pre-pitch rhythm, angles, glove work and a timed exchange — the same footwork-first progression behind M4P's infield clinics.
The complete-hitter swing
A load that pulls, posture that holds through contact, a barrel that turns behind the ball — checked on film against the checkpoints, not by eye.
Measured, then re-tested
HitTrax, Blast Motion and film set the baseline; a written evaluation and free 4-week program aim the work; re-tests prove it moved.

Add the biomechanics screening to your session with Zane
A slow-motion, frame-by-frame breakdown of your athlete's swing or delivery — joint by joint, checkpoint by checkpoint — added to the written report.
The rotational chain the screening checks — pelvis to hands, in order:

Connor and Zane have been a pleasure to work with. My son has shown a lot of improvement in his swing and we can't wait to see how much more he will continue to learn!

Connor Jenkins and Zane Roos are amazing! My son loves working with them and it is definitely paying off. Logan has come such a long way in a short time with these coaches.

I think my son has made a lot of improvements in a short time. Zane and Connor have been wonderful in working with him and are very knowledgeable. I think he's had a few hard sessions, mentally, but it has helped him a lot.

Where and when are lessons?
Center STL — 6727 Langley Ave, St. Louis, MO 63123. Lessons run Monday – Friday · 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
What happens at the first session?
The assessment: a movement pattern screen, athletic testing, and your athlete's swing or delivery on film. You get a written evaluation and a free 4-week program built from it — then re-tests measure the progress against that baseline.
What's the biomechanics screening?
An add-on to any assessment (+$75): your athlete's swing or delivery slowed down and broken down frame by frame, joint by joint, against the checkpoints we coach — so the plan fixes the cause, not the symptom.
Is Zane the right coach for an infielder?
That's his specialty — a two-time Conference Gold Glove winner who teaches the footwork-first defensive progression M4P's infield clinics are built on, alongside the swing.
