M4P S1

A bat sensor being built around how M4P coaches.

The M4P S1 is a bat sensor developed by Movement 4 Power.

The S1 is in prelaunch. It is not available to order yet, and nothing on this page is a reservation.

Price, launch date and what comes in the box will be announced to the launch list first.

Launch list

Hear first, without being sold to

The launch list is a short, separate list. It is not the newsletter and it is not a sales sequence.

  • A confirmation email now, so you know it worked.
  • Product updates only when there is something approved to say.
  • The launch announcement when the S1 can be ordered.
  • No order, no reservation, no card. Leave any time.

You must be 18 or older; parents and guardians sign up for their athletes.

Who it is for

Who the launch list is for

The launch list is for adults 18 and older. What is confirmed about the S1 itself is listed further down this page.

  • Parents of 10U to high school hitters

You already see bat speed on a screen after lessons or team practice, and you want to hear about the S1 as details are confirmed.

  • Adult athletes, 18 and older

You already track your own swing numbers, and you want the announcement when the S1 can be ordered.

  • Coaches who already use sensor data

You run sessions with a bat sensor today, and you want to see what is confirmed about the S1 before you decide anything.

The problem it is built around

Sensor numbers without a plan

A bat-speed reading on its own does not say what to train next. A number is useful when it is read against the same hitter's earlier numbers and tied to the work that should move it.

That is how the M4P assessment works: a measured baseline in the cage, a written evaluation that names the priority fixes, a 4-week plan built from them, and a re-test against the baseline. Trend beats comparison.

M4P coaches already train with bat sensors on the floor (Blast Motion and Diamond Kinetics) and read the numbers against each hitter's own baseline. The S1 is being built for that way of working.

How the assessment works

What we can say today

Confirmed, and not yet published

We only publish what engineering or Movement 4 Power has signed off. Everything else stays on the second list until it is.

On the floor today

How M4P trains with bat sensors now

Blast Motion and Diamond Kinetics are in the cage today, and we will keep using them. The S1 is our own sensor, in development.

  • Blast Motion

A sensor on the knob of the bat that grades the swing itself, swing by swing.

    • Bat speed
    • Rotational acceleration
    • Attack angle
    • On-plane efficiency
  • Diamond Kinetics

A second swing sensor with its own lens on the same movement.

    • Bat speed
    • Hand speed
    • Time to contact
    • Swing plane

The number that matters most is a hitter's number against their own baseline from eight weeks ago, not against a chart. We measure the baseline at the assessment, train against it, and re-test. The full training technology page

Questions

S1 questions, answered plainly

  • Can I order the S1 today?

No. The S1 is in prelaunch. Joining the launch list gets you the announcement when ordering opens; it does not reserve a unit or charge anything.

  • What will it cost?

Pricing has not been announced. The launch list hears first. We will not publish a number until it is final.

  • What does it measure?

The confirmed metric list is to be confirmed. We publish measured, calculated and imported numbers as three separate lists once engineering signs them off, so you know which numbers the sensor reads directly.

  • Does it work with the M4P app?

The relationship between the S1 and the M4P app is to be confirmed. We will say exactly what works together on the day it is confirmed, not before.

  • Which bats fit?

Bat compatibility is to be confirmed.

  • How is this different from the sensors M4P already uses?

M4P trains with Blast Motion and Diamond Kinetics today and will keep doing so. The S1 is M4P's own sensor, in development; we will publish a comparison once its capabilities are confirmed.

  • How often will you email me?

A confirmation now, product updates only when there is something approved to say, and the launch announcement. The launch list is separate from the weekly newsletter.

  • Is joining the list a preorder or a reservation?

No. Nothing is charged and no unit is held for you. The list is how we tell you when ordering opens.

  • Will you text me?

Only if you tick the text box and enter a US mobile number. The words next to that box are exactly what you agree to, and replying STOP to any text ends them.

  • How do I leave the list?

Use the unsubscribe link in any launch-list update, or reply to the confirmation email and say so.
