Not a showcase

You get coached, not just measured

HitTrax · Blast · Pocket Radar · video

Three phases, three hours

Hitting, pitching, defense

What this is

A working camp, not a showcase

Showcase events measure you, post a number, and move on. This is the opposite: three hours of actual work across hitting, pitching and defense, where the measurements exist so the coaching lands — and every athlete goes home knowing exactly what to fix and how to fix it.

What we work

Three phases. Three hours.

01

Hitting

Move-pattern and swing breakdown, bat speed and exit velo baselines, tee and machine work with live feedback.

02

Pitching

Delivery on video frame by frame, velocity readings, arm-care and strike-throwing work off the mound.

03

Defense

Footwork, glove work, exchange and transfer speed, throwing accuracy under a clock.

The Fall Metrics Sheet

The numbers college coaches ask about — exit velo, bat speed, pitch velo, the 60 — what each one means, how it's actually measured, and a blank tracking sheet to log yours through the offseason.

Every rep measured

You leave with numbers

Exit velo, bat speed, pitch velocity and swing/delivery mechanics captured on the day — then broken down frame by frame so you see exactly what your body is doing.

  • Blast Motion

Is this your athlete?

Who it's for — and who it isn't

Built for

  • High school players, grades 9–12 — hitters, pitchers, and two-way athletes
  • Players who want their offseason to start with real numbers, not guesses
  • Athletes from any school or club — you don't have to be a Southside Prospect

Not the day for

  • Youth players — our Feet First infield clinic on September 17 covers ages 8U–14U
  • Players looking for a showcase or a ranking. Nobody is being scouted here — you're being coached
  • Anyone hoping to stand around. Every athlete works all three phases
After the last rep

What your athlete leaves with

  • Your numbers from the day — exit velo, bat speed, pitch velocity
  • Your swing and delivery on video, broken down frame by frame so you see exactly what your body is doing
  • Something specific to fix — every athlete goes home with it

And after the camp

The camp finds it. The assessment builds the plan.

Camp day tells you what to fix. If you want the full written evaluation — movement screen, complete baseline, film, and a free 4-week program built from it — that's the $50 in-house assessment.

Camp FAQ

Is this a showcase?

No — and that's the point. Showcases measure you and mail a number. This is a working camp: your reps get measured AND coached, and you leave knowing what to fix and how. If you want exposure events, there's a market full of them. This is where you get better first.

My athlete isn't a Southside Prospect. Can they still come?

Yes. The camp is open to any high school player, grades 9–12. M4P is the official training arm of Southside Prospects, and we run this camp together — but the coaching is for everyone in the building.

What if my athlete has never trained with data before?

Then this is the best possible starting point. The tools — HitTrax, Blast Motion, Pocket Radar, video — just measure what's already happening. The coaches turn those numbers into one or two things worth working on. No experience needed.

What should my athlete bring?

Glove, bat, turf shoes or cleats, and a water bottle — normal training gear, dressed to work. Pitchers should come ready to throw.

Do parents stay?

You're welcome to watch — it runs 10:00 to 1:00 with check-in at 9:45. Drop-off works too.

What if plans change after we register?

Registration and payment run through Southside Prospects' registration system (LeagueApps) — if your plans change after registering, contact us through the site and we'll get you to the right person. If the camp itself ever has to be cancelled or moved, everyone registered will be notified by email.

Can teammates register together?

Yes — send them the link. Each athlete registers separately on the registration page.

When do we get the results?

The same day. Numbers are captured live, the video breakdown happens on the spot, and every athlete leaves with something specific to fix. If you want a full written evaluation with a training plan behind it, that's our $50 in-house assessment — a natural next step after the camp.
